ABOUT ME
Kyoko Brown
I was born in Oita, Japan. My father died of cancer when I was 5 years old. So, I was raised by a single mother. My mother had to change from being a happy young wife to a hard-working single mother with two kids at the age of only 29. She had always wanted me to be an independent woman growing up becasue of her own experience of life.
Because of my mother, I had to practice the piano to become a piano instructor. I was always told to get good grades in school and always study hard. My mother was strict. I graduated from Fukuoka University and became a licensed pharmacist.
My first job though was a medical sales lady at a pharmaceutical company, where I worked for about a year. After that, I worked for several other pharmacies in Fukuoka, Japan. I even tried Multi-level Marketing for about 3 years where I studied nutritional supplements and success motivation. But, somehow I just couldn’t succeed at Multi-level Marketing business.
After my attempt at the Multi-level Marketing business, I found myself in a lot of financial debt. So, I decided to go back to being a full time pharmacist to pay back all of my debts.
In a very short time, I got a job as a manager at a new pharmacy company that just opened in Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan through an agency with almost double the salary I had in Fukuoka. Strangely, I had never been to Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan before, but since it was only a 2 hour drive from Fukuoka and my employment contract was guaranteed for 1 year, I thought I’d give a try.
As it turned out It was my first time to work alone as a pharmacist with the heavy responsibility of starting a new staff. It may have been hard to believe for some people, but I actually began learning how to be responsible.
From there, my life took on a remarkable journey.
